Grover’s Zampa Vineyard

Grover Zampa Vineyard is the wine company producer located in Doddaballapura in Karnataka. This is the 2^nd largest wine-producing company and Vineyard in India. This Vineyard is started in 1988 by Kanwal Grover. He used to work in the Space and Defence procurement industry, his love with wine production company is because of his frequent visit to France.

In 1982 Kanwal Grover invited George Vesselle the world’s renowned expert in Champagne Wines to India and in 1992, the owned land in Daddaballapura and started wine production as Grover Vineyards.

In 2012, Grover Vineyards and Vallee De Vin merged together and started a new company as Grover Zampa. In 2018 this vineyard produced 220,000 cases of wine per year and occupied the 2^nd place in India in the production of wines after Sula Vineyard in Nashik that produces more than million cases a year. Some of the major brands produce here are La Reserve Blanc, Grover Sauvignon Blanc, Vijay Amritraj Reserve Collection White, Zampa Soiree Brut, Shiraz Still Rose, Zampa Soiree Brut Rose, La Reserve Red, Auriga Brut, and Chenee Grande Reserve.

Tipu’s Drop Nandi Hills

Tipu’s Drop is one of the oldest tourist places to visit near Nandi Hills. This place is located on the hilltop that is elevated 600 meters above the ground. One can get a beautiful view of the hill ranges from the top of the hill. This place is a must-visit place for nature lovers.

Legends say that, at the time of Tipu Sultan the prisoners used to drop from the hill as a punishment for their wrongdoing things. It is believed that the sounds of the rustling leaves are the screams of the prisoners who were pushed off from the hilltop.

The main attraction of this Tipu’s Drop is the view of Sunrise. One will fall in love with that place if they have a Sunrise view.

This drop is the place where numbers of people committee Suicide, fallen off, and slipped. Now the government is making some preparations to prevent such accidents. A grill is constructed from Mayura Hotel till the Tipu’s Drop. This grill is 450 meters long and 5.5 feet high. From the government, funds were been collected for Rs 50 Lakh for this project.

Tipu’s Summer Residence

The Tipu’s Summer Residence is the palace initiated by Haidar Ali and was completed by Tipu Sultan. This palace was used by Tipu Sultan as the summer resort. The Residence is named Tashk-e-Jannat which means as Envy of Heaven.

The construction of the palace is used by wood and is displayed with brilliant carved arches and pillars with beautiful paintings on the walls and ceilings.
