Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple History

Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple also Dwarka of South India or  Bhuloka Vaikunta located in Guruvayur of Kerala is dedicated to Lord Guruvayurappan (Lord Vishnu).  The temple is known as Bhuloka Vaikunta. As Lord Vishnu resides in Vaikuntam  “residence of Lord Vishnu”, the temple is referred to as the Vaikuntha on earth “Bhuloka”.

The idol of the lord in the temple is four armed. The temple follows strict rituals and rules. The temple atmosphere gives a complete divine feeling. Guruvayur is famous because of the temple of Lord Guruvayurappan.
