Kalatheeswarar History:

Kalatheeswarar Temple seated in Pondicherry dedicated to the deities Sri Kalatheeswarar, Sri Vardharaja Perumal and Sri Gnanambigai Amman, goddess Sri Devi and goddess Bhoodevi. The temple has an authentic Hindu style of architecture. The temple has a sacred tree which is known as the Vanni tree. The Rajagopuram of the temple measures about 75 feet high. One can easily reach this temple. This temple is the temple which is one among them where the idols of both Lord Shiva and Lord Perumal together. There are only seven places in India where both the deities are located at the same place.
