Vaikom Mahadeva History:

Vaikom Mahadeva Temple dedicated to Lord Mahadeva (Lord Shiva), there is a belief that devotees seeking blessings from the three temples of Lord Shiva namely Ettumanoor Shiva Temple, Kaduthuruthy Thaliyil Mahadeva Temple and Kaduthuruthy Thaliyil Mahadeva Temple would full fill their wishes. It is believed that the Shiva Lingam found in this temple belongs to the “Treta Yuga”. Also, this temple is one of the oldest temples of Kerala, this is the temple where rituals are followed continuously. This temple is one of the unique temples. Also, this temple celebrates many festivals dedicating to Lord Shiva. During special occasions, the temple gets to lighten up with beautiful lamps. Also according to the Kerala Tradition, the gigantic tuskers flourish the temple.
