The Balaji temple of Guwahati gives a glimpse of south Indian touch with well-educated priests and sophisticatedly maintained temple premises. The Balaji temple comprises of\u00a0 Lord Vishnu, Lord Ganesha and goddess Durga. The Balaji temple is different from that of the north Indian temples.<\/p>\n

It is totally a south Indian temple in Lokhra in Guwahati. The temple architecture totally resembles the south Indian style. The Vignaharatha Lord Ganesha is at the forefront of the temple the gopuram of the Ganesh temple raises to 8 feet and a Rajagopuram of 70 feet. The idol of the Lord Vishnu is carved out of a single rock worth 4 tonnes.<\/p>\n

THE MAIN SHRINE:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The temple complex of Lord Balaji situated in Guwahati comprises the main shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu which is carved out of a single rock and the Utsav murthys made up of metal (Nachairs & Chakranthalwar). The temple shows 60 feet Dhwajasthambam. The of goddess Padmavathi and Garuda are adjacent to the main shrine of Lord Vishnu.<\/p>\n

The temple premises are covered with greenery and fresh blooming flowers all around as there is a beautiful park attached to the temple.The hosts the asthanamandapam dedicated for the cultural activities related to the temple<\/p>\n
