The temple is famous for the rite known as Uruli which means a brass vessel, it is believed that the one who wishes should tilt or turn over the Uruli downwards after completion of their wish they should return back to the temple and turn it back to its original position. Unlike other temples, this temple rituals are been carried by an elder women known as Amma (Pujarin).The temple has a custom that, whoever wants to thank the Serpent god or Lord Nagaraja one should donate Serpent idol to the temple.
