Kottankulangara Sree Devi Temple<\/a> situated in Kollam is one of the most popular temples of Kerala. The attraction of the temple is the idol of the goddess, it is believed that the idol is Swayambhu “self-origin”. The temple has a unique ritual that the male devotees dress up like females and females hold the traditional holy lamp.  The temple architecture is itself quite different as it is the only temple without the roof.<\/p>\n

Chamayavilakku, Kuruthola Pandal, Jeevatha Ezhunnallathu are the famous festivals celebrated.
