Kanchi Ekambareswarar Temple also known as Ekambaranathar Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple shows one of the 12 Jyothirlingams. The Lingam of Lord Shiva itself composed of thousand lingams carved in the same lingam. There is a myth that goddess Parvathi embraced Lord Shiva and did great tapasya under a single mango tree. Lord Shiva was pleased with the devotion of goddess Parvathi and got settled under this tree as Lingam. Hence the name Ekambareswarar. The temple is a famous temple of Tamil Nadu. The temple is one of giant architecture.<\/p>\n
