Nellaiappar Temple History<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Nellaiappar Temple is of the popular temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is also known as Tirunelveli Temple. In This temple, Lord Shiva is worshipped as\u00a0 Lord Nellaiappar also known as Lord Venuvananathar. The deity appears in the Lingam form and blesses the devotees. The temple is situated on the river bank of Thamirabarani river. The temple is spread to an area of about 14 acres of land. The deities are offered flowers, dhup and neivedyam (Food Offering). Daily six poojas are been performed. Navratri, tirukkalyanam and Aarudra Darisanam has celebrated very grandly apart from hit the Car or the Chariot festival is celebrated widely in this temple.<\/p>\n
