Thayumanavar Temple History<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Trichy Thayumanavar Temple also known as the Rock Fort Temple, this beautiful construction was built by Pallava King. The temple is dedicated to Lord Thayumanavar (Lord Shiva), Mattuvar (goddess Parvathi). Devotees climb these steep steps to seek blessings from the deities. One can enjoy the complete view of Tiruchirapalli. The temple is right on the top of the Rock Fort approximately 275 steps have to be climbed to embrace the beauty of the temple. The temple has the Gaja Raj (Elephant), devotees offer Prasad to Gaja Raj and in return, they receive blessings from the Elephant. The temple is one the popular construction of Tamil Nadu. Also, foreigners visit this beautiful construction.<\/p>\n
