Sangameshwarar Temple History<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Sangameshwarar Temple is one of the popular temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple has a unique feature of the architecture, the temple is built on the junction of three water sources, and those are river Bhavani, river Kaveri and an invisible water source that is the “Agaya Gangai”. This temple of Lord Shiva is the 261 Devara Paadal Petra Shiva Sthalam. As the temple is constructed over the confluence of the three water bodies this temple is also known as Dakshina Triveni Sangamam. This temple is locally known as Kooduthurai. The temple is stretched over an area of about 4 acres of land. Devotees get a tip in the Triveni Sangamam and get darshan of the Lord.<\/p>\n
