Pasupatheswarar Temple History<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Pasupateeswarar Temple situated in Karu is dedicated to Lord Shiva, worshipped as Lord Pasupateeswarar temple. It is a myth that Lord Brahma worshipped here hence this place is also known as Brahma Theertham. This temple is a massive construction which is constructed over 2.65 acres of land. The Moolvar is Swayambu Lingam. The Lord Pasupateeswarar also was known as Aanilaiappar. The temple has a hundred pillar mandapam which is one of the attractions of the temple. The other attraction is during Panguni (Tamil Month) that is mid-March to mid-April sun rays directly falls on the Moolvar (Swayambu Lingam) continuously for 3 days which is the spectacular view. The temple celebrates festivals like Navratri, Shivratri, Brahmotsavam and Aarudra Darisanam.<\/p>\n
