Koodal Azhagar Temple History<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Koodal Azhagar Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the temple is situated in Tamil Nadu. The temple exhibits the famous Dravidian architecture. The temple exhibits the five-tiered Rajagopuram. It is believed that the gateway of the temple was constructed by Pandyas. The temple worships Lord Vishnu as Koodal Azhagar and goddess Lakshmi consort of Lord Vishnu as Mathuravalli. This temple also follows the Thenkalai tradition of worshipping.\u00a0 The temple is thronged with a great population of devotees on occasion of\u00a0 \u201cMahasamprokashanam\u201d. The temple has a unique feature that is the paint of the temple, the paint especially been extracted from the medicinal herbs of Kerala which lasts for thousand years. The temple carvings are one of the mesmerizing features of the temple of Madurai.<\/p>\n
