Though difficult it is a pretty interesting thing to do at least once in a lifetime. On this trek, one has to climb the beautiful glacial Kedartal lake. On this trek, one can get the view of the greatest mounts Gangotri, Bhrigupanth, Manda Parvat and Thalaysagar. On this trek, the base camp is arranged at Gangotri. The beautiful Ganga river flowing through the lanes of the city admires <g class=\"gr_ gr_16 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar multiReplace\" id=\"16\" data-gr-id=\"16\">it<\/g> beauty to the trekkers. Also, one can spot many pilgrims at this sacred river. The trek gradient is quite difficult, one must be fit to head this trek as it is steep and narrow climbing treks, unlike the other Himachal Treks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Itinerary for Kedartal Trek<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Day 1: <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Start\n(Drive) from Gangotri or Dharali.<\/li><li>The\naltitude ranges at 10,055 ft<\/li><li>Distance\nis about 205 km<\/li><li>Duration\nof 10 to 12 hours\u2019 drive from Dehradun<\/li><li>Base\nCamp at Gangotri.<\/li><li>Trek\nfrom Gangotri covers the Dharali Village, Uttarkashi, Harsil town (55 km before\nGangotri) and the sacred river Ganga.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Day\n2: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Reach\nGangotri rest at the Base Camp and get acclimatize for trekking<\/li><li>The\naltitude ranges from 10,055 ft to 11,000 ft.<\/li><li>Duration\nis 1 Day, can explore and rest at Gangotri<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Day\n3: <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Trek\nfrom Gangotri to Bhojkharak<\/li><li>The\naltitude ranges from 8.300 ft 10,055 ft (Driving) and 12,450 ft (Trekking)<\/li><li>Duration\nis about 5 to 6 hours for trekking and 1 hour for driving.<\/li><li>Distance\nis about 6.5 km<\/li><li>On\nthis trek one spider war, narrow paths.<\/li><li>Campsite\nat Bhoj Kharak<\/li><li>Note:\nCarry Food &amp; Water as no such sources are available at this zone.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Day\n4: <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Trek\nfrom Bhoj Kharak to Kedar Kharak <\/li><li>The\naltitude ranges from 12,401 ft to 14,000 ft.<\/li><li>Duration\nis about 5 to 6 hours<\/li><li>Distance\nis about 5 km<\/li><li>This\nis the smallest trek than the previous day<\/li><li>This\nzone gives a beautiful view of Bhoj forest, tree lines, bharal (blue Sheep),\ngoral, Himalayan black bear, variety of birds, different colored flora..etc.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Day\n5: <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Trek\nback from Kedar Kharak to Kedar Tal and return back to Kedar Kharak<\/li><li>Altitude\nis about 14,000 ft to 16,116 ft and back to 14,000 ft.<\/li><li>Duration\nof 9 to 10 hours<\/li><li>Distance\n8 km<\/li><li>Note:\nCarry Water and some Snacks as no such sources are available<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Day 6: <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Head\nback to Kedar Kharak to Gangotri<\/li><li>The\naltitude is about 14,000 ft to 10,055 ft.<\/li><li>Duration\nof 7 to 8 hours<\/li><li>Distance\nis about 11 km<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Day 7: <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Return\nto Dehradun<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Trek\nDistance:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>28 to 32 km Trek<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Time\nTaken to Trek:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7 Dyas Trek Duration<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: If the weather is bad one has to go through the\nBuffer Day (Also the respective tariff to be paid if not your amount will be\nrefund back from the trek leader)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: Carry Food &amp; Snacks to avoid hunger as limited stalls are available in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trekking Charges: Rs 14,500\/- per head (Approx.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Best Time to Visit:July to August<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Reach Kedartal Trek Himachal?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>By\nAir:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest Airport which is\n225 km away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>By\nRailway Station:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Nearest Railway Station is at Rishikesh which is\n280 km away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>By\nRoad:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regular Buses ply from Dehradun to Gangotri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reference Link: <a href=\"https:\/\/nationalparksafari.blogspot.com\/2019\/04\/kedartal-trek-himachal.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"details (opens in a new tab)\">details<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kedartal Trek Date and Timings, Tour details, Booking Kedartal Trek is one of the difficult treks of the Himachal region.
