It used to be a royal palace of the Maharaja of Kolhapur and later used to be a darbar of the Chhatrapati Maharaja.<br><br>Bhavani Mandap is used as house offices of various court officials and used to be the center of many celebrations. Bhavani Mandap was the witness to the famous murder in the central courtyard. <br><br>Bhavani Mandap has a feeling of charm to it and typical architecture of the British Raj brings back the memories of the rich princely state Kolhapur used to be.<br><br>At Bhavani Mandap, we can find the life-size statue of Kolhapur&#8217;s most loved prince Shahu Maharaj.
