This place is one of the most visited\nplaces and one of the largest palaces in India. The palace is also known as <em>\u2018Amba Vilas Palace\u2019<\/em> the residence of\nWodeyar Maharaja of the Mysore City. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Architecture<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/tripnetra.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Architecture-MysorePalace-1.jpg\" alt=\"MysorePalace Architecture\" class=\"wp-image-8588\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tripnetra.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Architecture-MysorePalace-1.jpg 900w, https:\/\/tripnetra.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Architecture-MysorePalace-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tripnetra.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Architecture-MysorePalace-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/tripnetra.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Architecture-MysorePalace-1-740x493.jpg 740w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The actual palace was built of wood and got burnt in 1897, at the wedding time of the eldest daughter of Chamaraja Wodeyar- Jayalakshammanni and was rebuilt in 1912. The palace was rebuilt at the cost of Rs 42 Lakhs.&nbsp; The current Palace was built in the Indo-Saracenic style blend with Hindu, Rajput, Muslim, and Gothic Style of Architecture. The palace is the 3-storied building with the stone structure and with the 145 Feet 5-storied tower and a marble tomb. Over the focal curve is a great model of Gajalakshmi, the goddess of riches, success, good karma, and bounty with her elephants. The palace is enclosed by an enormously large garden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Palace is the national treasure and the pride of the\nKingdom of Wodeyar Maharajas of Mysore. The palace is now converted into the\nMuseum and homes number of Jewellery, Royal Costumes, Paintings and other\nitems. The tastefully adorned and complex carved doors open into luxuriously\ndecorated rooms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are 3 gates towards East, West, and South. There are many secret tunnels from the palace which leads to Srirangapatna and other confidential areas. There are 12 temples inside the complex with construction time ranging from the 1950\u2019s to as 14<sup>th<\/sup> century. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The private hall is carved with rosewood. The king used to\ngather for meetings with ministers here. The Darbar Hall is a 155 Feet high\nwhich is used for public hearings and announcements. The royal throne in the\nDarbar Hall is opened only during Dasara celebrations. &nbsp;&nbsp;The\nwedding hall is another huge octagonal shaped hall with glass ceilings and\nglazed tile flooring. The ceiling is filled with complex kaleidoscopic artwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Festivals<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Mysore Palace Bangalore is spot for the Mysore Dasara Festival; here artists perform on the setup stage in the palace grounds.
