Ujjain Mahakaleswar Temple is one of the jyotirlingas in the Hindu temples. And it is believed that here the shrine is Swayambhu with huge power of Lord Shiva. And it is located at the bank of river Kshipra at Ujjain belongs to Madhya Pradesh. Due to huge numbers of golden towers of several temples, it is also called as the \u201cSwarna Sringa\u201d.It is also known as the Indrapuri, Amaravati, and Avantika.<\/p>\n
There was a Brahman with 4 sons all of his family are huge devotees of Lord Shiva. The Fiendish King Dushan arrived to Avantika after booned from the Lord Brahma and starts giving the torture to the Savvy Brahmins at Avantika. But they not even bother about that Fiendish King And they didn\u2019t give up their prayers towards Lord Shiva.<\/p>\n
The Fiendish King sent his subordinates to Avantika by passing an order that \u201c there should not be Vedic Dharmanushtan activities to take place at Avantika\u201d. So the harassed people went to Brahmanas to help them so Brahmanas assured them that Lord Shiva can help all of them. so immediately started praying Shiva, meanwhile, The Fiendish King starts attacking the Brahmanas.<\/p>\n
Near the main shrine with huge noise and Creator was formed.In this way lord, Shiva came in the Form of Mahakaleshwar to kill the King, He burnt the king in form of ashes. After seeing his avatar by Brahma, Vishnu, and other devas are tried to pleased the shiva to calm down hence the name of Shiva is Called as Mahakaleshwar at Ujjain.<\/p>\n
