About Har Ki Pauri the place to be visited in Haridwar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Har Ki Pauri is one of the most famous ghats, oldest centers in India on the banks of River Ganga, located in Uttarakhand. The place is having large footprints, Lord Vishnu, in the stone wall. This is literally meant as Har means \u201cLord Shiva\u201d, Ki means \u201cOf\u201d and Pauri means \u201cSteps\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Har Ki Pauri is believed to be the exit point of Ganges from\nthe mountains and enter into the plains. This is the place where Ganga Aarthi\nis offered and is considered as Brahm Kund. Brahm Kund is the place where\nNectar (Amrit) fell and is considered to be the most auspicious ghats in\nHaridwar. Numbers of devotees gather here from all over the world and have a\ndip will wash away their sins and gives Moksha. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
During Kumbh Mela, the ghat witnesses the devotees converge\nand festivities which is celebrated one\u2019s in 12 years, Ardh Kumbh Mela the is\ncelebrated one\u2019s in 6 years, Punjabi Festival of Vaisakhi a harvest festival\ncelebrated in the month of April. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the remembrance of Bhatrihari, the brother of King\nVikramaditya this Ghat is constructed. During the half-moon, the diyas were lit\nand were left into the Ganga River. This is believed that that the footprint of\nLord Vishnu made the area hallow and the riverbank is formed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Har Ki Pauri Aarti Timings<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Every Evening at Sunset, priests offer Ganga Aarti to the river and thousands of devotees witness this event. The priest offers Aarti by holding a large fire bowl in the hands and start ringing gongs, chanting Ganga Mata and Lord Shiva. The Riverbank presents the most enchanting sight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Haridwar to Har Ki Pauri \u2013 5 KM and time required to reach\nis 10 minutes on vehicle and 1.7 KM by walk and can reach within 21 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
