Jantar Mantar History

Jantar Mantar of Jaipur is one of the popular historical sites to visit in the pink City. The Jantar Mantar is popularly known for its architectural and astronomical instruments. It was built by the King Sawai Jai Singh II.  Jantar Mantar has various instruments like Samrat Yantra, Rama Yantra, Jai Prakash Yantra, Digamsa, Nadivalaya and other instruments with different importance with different styles of constructions. There are 5 places in India where Jantar Mantar can be spotted out of which Jaipur Jantar Mantar is the largest one; this is the largest sun dial of India. It is also known as UNESCO World Heritage Site.
