At the top shikra of the temple, the Neel chakra which is made of 8 alloys is been seated. The Neel chakra is visible from the starting point of the temple. The Jagannath Puri is known as Shank Shetra, Purushotham kshetra and Srishetra. The Puri Jagannath Dham is known as the Kalyug Dham.

  • Bhogmandir – For Preparation of Bhog
  • Nata Mandir – For Dances & Songs
  • Jagamohana – Devotees Gather to worship
  • Sanctum / Deul – Enshrining Deities

  • Uttar Dwar(North)
  • Dakshin Dwar (South)
  • Pashchim Dwar (West)

  • The idols of the deities are, made of wood
  • The Main shrine does not have shadow

  • The God here goes a phase of death known as Nanakalebar.
