Silent Valley National Park situated in Nilgiri hills of Kerala is composed of rare faunal and floral species population. It is stretched to an area of 236.74 square kilometers. Silent Valley National Park was established in the year 1847 by Robert Wight famous botanist. This zone is known as Sairandhrivanam locally. The park is supported by the Kuntipuzha river which is a source of water for the entire park.
