Achyutaraya Temple Hampi History
Achyutara Temple is one of the largest temple located in Hampi. This temple is also known as Thiruvengala Nadha Temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, as this temple built by Achyuta Deva Raya. This temple is named as Achyutara Temple. One can reach the temple from the Kondarama Temple. This temple resides in the midst of the courtyards which are internally lined with pillared verandah. The carvings and architecture of the temple are mesmerising. One can see the spectacular carvings of Lord Krishna, Lord Vishnu and the image of the goddess with ten handed is the most attracting point. From the exit of the temple, one can reach the Matanga Hill.
