Kottarakkara Sree Mahaganapathi Temple History:

Kottarakkara Sree Mahaganapathi Temple resided in Kottarakkara Taluk in Kollam district of God’s Own Country Kerala. The temple is dedicated, Lord Ganesha. The temple also houses Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvathi, Lord Murugan, Lord Ayyappa and Lord Nagaraja. This is one of the Kerala temples where Non-Hindus are also allowed to get the permit to enter the temple premises. The temple’s popular vazhipadu are the Unniyappam Udyasthamanapooja, Mahaganapathi Homam, Pushpanjali and other rituals.
