Abbey Falls Madikeri Timings, Entry fees, Best Time to visit
This fall is fed with Water from Kootu Holey dam. Down the stream, it merges with River Cauvery. During British rule, it is called by Jessi Falls and is located in a private estate. This fall is of 70 ft tall.
Flow will be high during Rainy Season ie. Jun-Dec.
Timings: 6:00 am – 6:00 pm. Daily. No entry after 6 pm.
Abbey Falls Madikeri History
Initially, this falls called by Jessey Falls. This falls named after the daughter of Madikeri’s first Chaplain Jessey. Later, this falls was discovered by N.B.Nannaiah who bought the land from the Government and converted it into Coffee and Spice plantation.
