Temple Hampi Chakratirtha History
Hampi Chakratirtha is one of the sacred places, tourists visit this place and get a holy dip in the water of river Tungabhadra. This place is completely restricted during Autumns. Chaktatirtha means the sacred water body. It is a myth that Lord Shiva passed the weapon Chakra to Lord Vishnu. One can take a Coracle or a motorboat ride to view the Sun temple, the Koti Linga temple and the various rock carvings.
The Coracle or the boat ride may be from five to ninety minutes, but it completely worth it. But during monsoon, this area is fully restricted as the water level rises which is not safe. But during the other days, this river look divine.
