Ropeway To Gunhill Mussoorie History:

Ropeway Hill, this is the fun and adventure activity. The Ropeway takes you off to Gun hill which is the second highest point of Mussoorie. The cable car takes you up above 400 meters high above the Mall road. This cable car is a ten minutes ride. The cable car ride also has the facility to stop off in the middle and get off to enjoy the spectacular Panoramic View. The view apparently depends on the mist and how clear the day is, but on a clear and sunny day, one can feast their eyes with the most beautiful views of Mussoorie and of course the Gun Hill. One can spot many colourful wildflowers on their way to Gun hill through the cable car. At the top there are some telescopes were been mounted so visitors could look further for a better view. On the Gun Hill, there is an old “Cannon” is mounted which is presently an antique piece. During the olden days, they use to fire from the cannon every day in the noon to make people know that’s it is the afternoon. This is where the Gun hill got its name.
