This spectacular beauty was established in the year 1973. The jungle is dominated by teak trees. This sanctuary is famous for the various threatened species of fauna especially the vultures.

This sanctuary is not only popular for its breathtaking beauty but also for its activities. One can take a jeep safari to a look on the jungle, or else one can trek. This place is a paradise for bird watching also one can enjoy the stay at the misty covered forest and at the watchtower, this adventurous and unique feel could be acquired at the Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary.

Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary through which you get to explore the unleashed wildlife culture of Wayanad. This prominent sanctuary located in Tholpetty stretches for 350 sq. kilometers and comprises the vast culture of flora and fauna which are truly rare to find in the populated areas. Enjoy a jeep ride at the Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary and witness unique animals like herds of elephants, guars, deer, monkeys, tigers, leopards, bears, and many species of reptiles, fishes, butterflies, and birds including vultures.
