Chidiya Tapu History:
Chidiya Tapu which literally means “Birds Island”, this place is the best destination for bird watching. This is about 25 kilometres away from Port Blair. This is a small biological park. Recently some crocodiles are also been spotted at this location. This place is popularly known for viewing Sunset. Also, this place is perfect for photography. This place is quite peaceful and beautiful also one can spend some happy time with friends and family.
This Bird Island has a beautiful landscape, with breadth taking the appearance and pleasant breeze running through the premises and the lush green plants are great soothing to eyes. This Biological Park was established in the year 2001 which is expanded over 40 hectares of Land. One can easily reach this place from Port Blair. Through their trail towards and into the Birds Island one can spot many endangered and endemic animals and plants. This place is perfect for the picnic and also to click beautiful snaps. The best time to visit this place is from August to February. Also, this place looks awesome in the season of Monsoon. Apart from watching the ambience of the Birds Island one can also trek to Munda Pahad Mountain and can experience the expedition of nature.
