Goechala Trek History:

Goechala located in Sikkim is the highest mountain pass which is about 16,000 ft high. Also one can enjoy the view of the mesmerizing Goecha La Lake also known as Samiti Lake. From here one can view Mount Kabru, Kabru South and North, Kabru Dome, Kabru Glaciers, Goecha La peak and the magnificent mount Kanchenjunga which is the world’s third largest peak. Toward the right side of the Kabru Snout near the Glacier path, one can spot mount Pandim, mount Siniolchu which is next towards the Pandim glaciers. Towards the right side of mount Siniolchu mount, Tenzing Khang is located. The spectacular view from this viewpoint is breathtaking.

Lamuney to Goecha La can be reached Via Samiti Lake (14100ft), then return back to Thansing
6th Day Thansing (12900ft) to Tshokha (9700ft)
7th Day Tshokha (9700ft) to Yuksom (5600ft)
8th Day End of the Trek

How to Reach Goechala?

By Airport:

Bagdogra is the nearest airport which is 12 km west of Siliguri and 170 km to Yuksom

By Railway station:

New Jalpaiguri is the nearest railway station which is 150 km away from Yuksom

By Road:

No Buses available to Sikkim, One should hire Taxi, Jeep other private vehicles.
