Havelock Island Andaman is officially known as Swaraj Island is the most famous island known for its golden sand beach and bluish green seawater. Tourists have to journey for 4 hours to reach the Island from Port Blair. Only one ship travels from Port Blair to Havelock and vice-versa.

The journey to Havelock Island starts at morning 6:00 AM and one reaches the place at 10:00 AM. From 10:00 AM to 2:00 AM one can enjoy in that Island and the visit the places. At 2:00 PM the return journey will start and by 6’o clock in the evening tourists will reach Port Blair.

Swimming is also not allowed on the beach after 5:00 PM because of the high tides. This is the best place to spend time with family, friends, and couples. It’s good to apply the strong sunscreen lotion to protect yourself from the sun and the water.

Kalapathar Beach in Havelock is named after the Black Road. The beach is a wide stretch of milky white silky sand.
