The Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park was established in the Year 1958, of 14th August at the Birch Hill the vicinity of Darjeeling. The main motive of construction of Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park was to protect and store the Himalayan fauna. Mr Dilip Kumar Dey was the 1st Director and founder.
