The Jagadambi temple located in Khajuraho of Madhya Pradesh ( India), is one of the famous architects of the divinities. The Jagadambi temple is one of 12 temples of the famous Khajuraho.  The Jagadambi temple is dedicated to the “god of the universe”  that is  ” Mata Parvati “. This temple is famous for the ” Garba Griha “, the Garba Griha is the highlighted part of the temple.

The ancient history says that formerly the Jagadambi temple was dedicated to the ” Lord Vishnu ” after that it was dedicated to Matha Parvathi and then dedicated to Matha Kali. But the truth is though Jagadambi temple earlier dedicated to Lord Vishnu, presently the temple resides the idol of Matha Parvathi in Garba Griha of the temple. At present this temple is been dedicated to Matha Parvathi, the idol of goddess Parvathi is been painted in the colour of black to resemble the image of ” Matha Kali “.

The Jagadambi temple is designed as such as the ” Chitragupta temple “, that is this temple architecture is similar to that of the Chitragupta temple especially the three-part design of the Chitragupta temple similarly can be seen in Jagadambi Temple.
