About Mansa Devi Temple Haridwar

Mansa Devi Temple is the Hindu temple located in Haridwar. The Temple is dedicated to the Goddess Mansa Devi located in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The temple is on the top of the Bilwa Parvat. This temple is known as the Bilwa Teerth which is one of the Panch Teerth in Haridwar.

The Mansa Devi Temple is a Siddh Peeth. The inner temple has 2 idols, one of the idols is with the 8 arms and the 2nd is with 3 heads and 5 arms.

The temple is said to emerge from the mind of Rishi the sage, Kashyapa. The Mansa is the sister of Naga known as Vasuki. Large numbers of devotees come here to tie threads to the branches of the tree to make the fulfilments. Once the wishes are fulfilled the devotees will come back to the temple to untie the thread from the tree.

Tourists should trek or use the ropeway services. The rope-way service in this Mansa Devi is called as “Mansa Devi Udankhatola”. The ropeway length is 1770 Feet and at the height of 584 Feet.

Best Time to Visit in Mansa Devi Temple

The best time to visit the place is from April to October and from November to March.

Opening and Closing Timings of the Temple

The temple will be open from –

  • Morning 6:30 AM to evening 7:00 PM from April to October, and
  • 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM from November to March.

Entry Fee to enter into the Temple

The entry fee for entering the temple is free. There is no entrance fee for the devotees who visit the temple.

The cost of the depends on the type of package you select. The cost lies between Rs 100 to Rs 333.

Timings for the Ropeway

The Ropeway timings are from morning 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from afternoon 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
