Patna Waterfall in Rishikesh History

After a tiring trek through the steep path of Rajaji Forest of Rishikesh can trace the existence of the beautiful Patna Waterfall of Rishikesh. The waterfall was named after a small hamlet Patna at Rishikesh. This small hamlet is just above the waterfall. This waterfall is also popularly known for the limestone caves present near to it. According to the legends there is a small temple inside these limestone caves dedicated to Lord Vishnu. On through the way to the trek to the falls one can spot the tributary of the river Ganga and can also spot the meeting point of the tributary of Ganga. The meeting point of the Ganga tributary is one of the challenging rapid, if lucky one can also spot some on the way to the trek. It 1.5 km to reach the falls and it takes 40 minutes to reach the falls.
