Umiya Mata Temple History:
Umiya Mata Temple located at the Varacha Road in Surat, which is one of the popular temples dedicated to the deity Umiya Mata. This temple was constructed in the year 1983 by the Umiya Parivar Trust of Surat. The temple is constructed out of Red stone. The temple looks always beautiful; however, it looks eye-catching during the Navratri Mahotsav. During Navratri, one can also enjoy the traditional dance “Garba”. Along with this many other festivals were also been celebrated in the temple. The temple has a distinct tradition, that is every day a different coloured Saree is been offered to the mother goddess Umiya Mata. That seven different colour Sarre’s in seven different days (Seven Days of the Week).
