Nahargarh Fort History

Nahargarh Fort welcomes you Jaipur with its spectacular beauty. The grandeur, pomp and with the hint of subtleness Nahargarh ornate the pink city Jaipur. According to the stories, the fort was named after a Rathore prince named Nahar Singh that’s why it is called Nahargarh. As this land was previously owned by him to peace his soul the locals built a small quarter and dedicated to the prince. That is the story apparently behind Nahargarh. The fort apparently has a secret passage leading to the City Palace of Jaipur, it was built for the royal family to escape during an enemy attack. The palace has many small portions, corridors and amphitheatre. From the top of the fort one could get a great view of the pink city Jaipur
