Jaigarh Fort History:
Jaigarh Fort situated in Jaipur the pink City is one of the popular historical monuments. The Jaigarh Fort was established in 1036 AD, by Kakaldev and later was reconstructed by Sawai Jai Singh II in 1726. The fort was built out f the beautiful Red sandstone. The fort has got great style of architecture and also one get the great view of the grand Amer Fort and the Maota Lake. The fort is popular because of the giant canon known as the “Jaivana” this is the largest canon on the wheels. The fort seating on the Cheel Ka Teela known as the Hill of Eagles is known to establish to protect the Amer Fort. The Jaigarh and the Amer forts are considered as one complex as they are joined by the subterranean passages. The Jaigarh Fort got many quarters with a great style of architecture carved in red sandstone. The fort is been maintained by the Jaigarh Public Charitable Trust, and the whole fort and its eminent beauty makes you feel amazed.
