Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple History
Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple situated in Kerala dedicated Lord Krishna an incarnation of Lord Vishnu called as Lord Parthasarathy. This is one the popular temples dedicated to Lord Krishna. Lord Krishna got his name Parthasarathy as he played the role of Arjuna’s Charioteer in the epic Mahabaratha. One can easily reach this temple to benefit blessings from the Lord. The temple situated on the beautiful Pamba River is one the beautiful view of Aranmula. It is said that the idol resided in the temple is brought in a raft made out of six bamboos hence the name “Ara – Six, Mula – Bamboo” called Aranmula. The temple celebrates Lord Krishna’s birthday with a great enthusiasm and fun. This is celebrated during the Malayalam month of “Chingam” during the session of Ashtami Rohini. Also, there are many different eves celebrated in the temple, also different sorts of delicious prasadams are offered to the Lord.
