2. Rohtang Pass Manali

Rohtang Pass is 50kms from Manali. Rohtang Pass is at the height of 13000feet. Rohtang becomes a hotspot for adventure enthusiasts in the month of May.

To maintain traffic and protect the environment, only 800 petrol and 400 diesel vehicles are allowed for one day to visit Rohtang Pass. We can go through own vehicles and the charge for entry is around 550/-. The roads will be very narrow. One should get the permit to enter into this Rohtang Pass.

After we get the pass and start towards Rohtang there is only one stopover “Marhi” which is 32kms from Manali. At Marhi we can find the very old “Kali Mata Temple” and lots of dhabas for food. Just as for a drive to “Lahaul & Spiti” which is 2-3 km ahead of Rohtang Pass.

3. Solang Valley Manali

Solang Valley is derived from the combination of “Solang” meaning “Nearby Village” and “Nullah” meaning “Water Stream”. It’s 14kms far from Manali at an elevation of 8400 feet.

5. Great Himalayan National Park

Great Himalayan National Park was constituted in 1984 and was formally notified as a national park in 1999. It is located in Banjaar Sub-Division of Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh, India, in the far Western Himalayas.

GHNP is one of the most recent additions to a huge network of wildlife reserves found in the Himalayan region in India and adjoining countries. The park protects over 350 species of fauna and more than 800 species of flora, including many medicinal herbs.
