Hidimba Devi Temple is located 1km far from Manali, with finely root Pagoda route. This temple is built by Raja Bahadur Singh in 1553 and is one of the famous temples in Kullu Manali

Hidimba, the wife of Bhima one of the 5 brothers of Pandavas in Mahabharatam and got the patent as the goddess of Hindhu Royal Family. Temple is located in the middle of the forest called Dhungiri Van Vihar. The temple has some very complicated wooden carvings which reflect the mythological characters of animals and cosmic dances.

Himalaya Nyingmapa Buddhist Temple is also known as Tibetan Manali Monastery located near the Manali Mall Road, built in the year 1957.

It’s a temple of Tibetian Buddha. The pagoda of the Himalayan Nyingmapa Buddhist Temple has also painted a bright shade of yellow.

Outside the monastery, you can find some local people renting colorful Tibetan dresses for photography.

One small garden is there outside the monastery with different plants. Can spend some time there sitting on the benches.

Best Time To Visit:

The best time to visit the monastery is between October and May which is also the tourist season in Manali.

October to February the town is covered in snow while, March to May, the days are clear and pleasant.

Bijli Mahadev is one of the temples in Himachal Pradesh of India in Kullu Valley. It is situated at an altitude of about 2460m in Kullu Valley. This temple can be reached by a rewarding trek of 3 km.

There is a small village just down below the temple and the name of the village is also called Bijli Mahadev. People in this village take care of the maintenance aspects of the temple. A newly constructed building is meant for accommodation (restrooms) for the visitors just beside the temple. There is no fixed price (rate not available) for the accommodation.

In this temple of lightning, it is said that the tall staff attracts divine blessings in the form of lightning.

It is believed that the priest of the temple has to restore the Shiva linga placed inside the temple using butter and sattoo after every lightning as it shatters to pieces with flash of lightning.

The Linga is actually an old rock that’s been molded in the shape of a linga due to the waterfalls. In winter this place becomes like Amarnath. Covered with snow!. It’s very cool and peaceful at this place.

As Lakshman, brother of Lord Rama visited Rishi Vashisht he was troubled to see that the sage has to walk a long distance to bath, looking at the sage hardship Lakshman shot an arrow into the ground from where the hot water started gushing out. The hot water from the spring is believed to have healing powers, it could cure many skin ailments.
