Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary History:

Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary situated in Goa is one of the popular tourist destinations of the “Pearl Of The Orient” (Goa). This Wild Life Sanctuary was established in the year 1978.  This Wild Life Sanctuary was earlier known as Mollem Game Sanctuary later in 1969 was announced as Wild Life Sanctuary, which was later redefined as Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary. The Sanctuary has a beautiful river running by, near this river a dense population of greenery is been traced. This Sanctuary houses many floral and faunal species. Also, this place is popularly known for different colourful butterflies. This national park is the largest national park of Goa – “The Tourist Paradise”. The best time to visit Goa is from Novembers to March. As Goa is well connected with many other major cities one can easily reach Goa to explore its beauty. Also, many private vehicles are easily available so one can access to any part of Goa with a great ease.
