          Chottanikkara Bhagavathy Temple situated in Ernakulam is dedicated to the goddess Bhagwati who is worshipped in three forms, in morning goddess is worshipped as Goddess Saraswathi, in noon as goddess Lakshmi and in evening as goddess Durga. It is believed that the temple is 1500 years old which is built by Kannappan a forest dweller. The Goddess is believed to be swayambhu “Self-revealed”. This temple is popularly known for curing of various diseases. It is believed that 41 days worship to bhagavathi will cure of any kind of disease. It is even believed that the dreadful disease leprosy is also been cured by this holy temple. Also, people from various places visit this temple to gain the blessings of Chottanikkara Bhagavathy to make their lives easier and happy.
