This area was declared as the Sanctuary in the year 1992. This Sanctuary stretches over an area 2.03 Sq.Km.

This sanctuary established to protect endangered species Great Indian Bustards, lesser floricans, Houbara bustards.

Harriers, common cranes, black partridges, sand grouses, Gray Francolin, Quails, Larks, Shrikes and Plovers are commonly seen in this sanctuary.

Best Time to visit: Oct-Mar.

It is estimated that 20+ bird species are available in this sanctuary.

This Sanctuary also called by Lal-Parjan Sanctuary and is located to the west of Kutch. Locals calls Great Indian Bustard by ‘Ghorad’

This is smallest Sanctuary in India.
