Shimla Himachal State Museum also popularly known as Himachal Pradesh State Museum of Shimla is one of the popular tourist destinations of Shimla. The museum is known for its ancient artefacts, old coins, miniature paintings, jewellery, weapons. The museum was established in the hill architectural style. To explore the beauty of the museum one has to trek 1500 m high as the museum is housed on the top of the hill. The museum was inaugurated in the year 1974 on the 26th of January. The museum is full of galleries and full of interesting stuff and all the information is been clearly described so one can be independently acquired the knowledge and can feast the Himalayan artefacts and histories.
