The Jagannath temple of Agartala is dedicated to the deities Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra. The temple is famous for its architecture and photography. The exterior architecture of the Jagannath  Bari temple exhibits the Islamic style and the interior architecture exhibits the Hindu style of architecture. The Jagannath  Bari temple is located next to the Ujjayanta Palace. The temple is famous for its architecture, the pillars of the Jagannath  Bari temple are topped with the square and pyramidal shaped cones.

The temple Shikharas are coloured in orange colour. It is believed that the idol of the Lord Neel Madhav also known as Jagannath of Puri is been donated from the Jagannath  Bari temple. The temple boasts the idols of various deities and the decorations exhibits the life of Lord Krishna. The temple performs regular rituals to the deities. The temple celebrates the rath yatra festival in a grand style. During the event of rath yatra, a huge crowd of devotees join together to worship.

Jagannath Ratha Yatra:

          The Rath Yatra is celebrated for nine days, during this eve the idols of the deities are taken out of the temple taken on giant beautiful chariots. The chariots of the idols are pulled by many devotees. During this eve a variety of rituals are followed. Devotees offer special bhajans, Sankeertans, dances..etc  The special Prashad is been distributed among the devotees by the priests during rath yatra.
