The Jagannath temple of Agartala is dedicated to the deities Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra. The temple is famous for its architecture and photography. Jagannath Ratha Yatra:
The Rath Yatra is celebrated for nine days, during this eve the idols of the deities are taken out of the temple taken on giant beautiful chariots. The chariots of the idols are pulled by many devotees. During this eve a variety of rituals are followed. Devotees offer special bhajans, Sankeertans, dances..etc The special Prashad is been distributed among the devotees by the priests during rath yatra.
