Jaipur Amer Fort Entry Timings, Entry Fee, Light and Sound Show
The Amer Fort was constructed by Raja Man Singh in 1592, the Kachhwahas ruled over the Amer Fort for about 11th to 16th century. Earlier the Amer Fort was called as Dhundar. It is about 11 Kilometers Jaipur. The construction material used for the construction of Amer Fort was completely made up of red sandstone and marble. The lake Maotha near the Amer fort adds extra beauty to it . The Amer Fort is famous for both the Hindu and Muslim architect designs. Though the Fort gives an old picture from outside it is a scenic and fresh view of inside. The Ganesh Pol and Shila Devi Temple is one of the awesome points which directs the way to the private palaces of the king.
The wall of the fort is about 12 Kilometers, the way of welcoming at the fort premises is simply awesome, the sound of traditional drums (nagadas), trumpets is a mesmerizing welcome for the visitors, it gives a royal feel of welcoming. The fort shows the summer palace for the residence in summer or in hot weather which totally equipped with cooling systems and the winter palace to reside in chilled weather or in winters, the winter palace is completely equipped with heaters or heating system. The rooms are totally covered with glass pieces. In the middle of the palace, a lamp(deepam) will be lightened , the light of the lamp will be reflected from the glass pieces immersed on walls of the palace which not only enlightens up the palace but also keeps the palace warm during winters.
