Jaisamand Lake Udaipur History:

Jaisamand Lake situated in Udaipur is also called Dhebar Lake.  This lake is the Second Largest Artificial Lake of India. The lake was established in 17th century. The lake measures about 87 km2; it was seated at the banks of the Gomati River. The lake is near to the Jaisamand Wildlife Sanctuary. The lake was established by Maharana Jai Singh in 1685. There are three beautiful islands situated on the Dhebar Lake the two bigger island are called Baba Ka Magra and the third (Smaller) island is called Piari.
