Kanchenjunga National Park Sikkim

Kanchenjunga National Park is also known as Kanchenjunga Biosphere Reserve. The park gets its name from the magnificent mountains Kangchenjunga which ranges about 8,586 meters and raised to 28,169 feet tall.

The Kanchenjunga is the 3rd highest peak in the world. The total area of this park is about  849.5 square Kilometers. one can see the Thangsing of West Sikkim ranging at an Altitude of 4000 meters. The Kanchenjunga park is composed of many glaciers.

There are famous trekking routes :

  • Trek from Yuksom to Tshoka and from there to Dzongri
  • From Thangshing – Lam Pokhari – Kasturi Orar – Labdang not ladang – Tashiding
  • From Bakim – Dzongri – Thangshing – Samuteng – Goechala
  • From Dzongri Base Camp – Rathong – Khangerteng
