Ranganatha Swamy Temple History:

Ranganatha Swamy Temple situated in Coimbatore is one of the famous Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Aranganatha (Lord Vishnu).  In this temple Lord Vishnu gives darshan in three forms Lord Venkatesa Achudan, Lord Aranganatha Swamy and Lord Venkatesa Perumal also the temple enshrines Goddess Pettathu Amman and goddess Kodha Nachiyar in separate shrines. The temple has a Swayambhu lingam of Lord Shiva, it is assumed as ma depiction of Lord Lakshmipathi (Lord Vishnu). The temple showcases a sacred water pool known as the Brahma Theertham which is believed to be blessed by the Creator God that is Lord Brahma. Also, the temple has a sacred water pond named as Karuda Theertham. The temple is popularly known for many Hindu customs and rites especially the Kavaala Poojas and others.
