Moksha narayanabali is performed for two days in Rameswaram. The ritual is performed by families to liberate souls of their family members who met an untimely death.

The Narayan bali is belived to help a person get rid of ancestral curses.
Narayanabali puja has to be performed when there are abnormal deaths like disease, suicide, attack by animals, murder, by snake bite etc.

Narayanabali puja is also suggested to get rid of obstacles in business, health problems, education, marriage, accidental death and also performed to get rid of problems created by curses from mother, father other family members.

Note: The puja should not be performed during graham days, Ekadashi, Ashtami, and Dashami.

  1.  The person who is going to perform the Narayan Bali puja should bring new clothes to wear.
  2. A male devotee wears a dhoti and a shirt. A female devotee is allowed to watch the puja rituals (saree/ chudidhar with dupatta)

  1. Cost varies for Two Day Pooja and Three Day Pooja
  2. Cost varies with additional Puja or Homa

Note:

Devotees should not consume rice items from the time they leave their place for the puja purpose and non-veg should be strictly avoided.
